Join geologist, Gene Kiver on a hour long walk. As a former professor at Eastern Washington University and author of various Washington based geology books, Kiver will help us understand why this iconic piece of Guemes Island looks the way it does. The walk will take place from 10:30 to 11:30. Parking is at Kelly's Point. Additionally, from 12:00pm to 1:00pm land steward, Ed Gastellum will be guiding a walk up Guemes Mountain. Bring a sack lunch to enjoy while taking in the views from the top of the mountain. Ed will share info on the history of the trail and native plants. More details and RSVP form at website below.
