Friends of Skagit Beaches Lecture Series Please join us for the first Lecture of our 15th year of Friends of Skagit Beaches Winter Lecture Series! Our first will be “Blue Legacy: Vanishing Glaciers in Washington’s National Parks”. Dr. Jon Riedel, park geologist, North Cascades National Park will take us on a journey deep into the past to observe the steady dance between glaciers and climate. He will focus on glacial changes in the past century and the implications for the water supply in Skagit Valley, Puget Sound’s largest watershed.
