Friends of Skagit Beaches hosts our 3rd annual fall film series offering four feature-length,environmentally-themed documentaries. The season kicks off with "Eating Alabama", the story of a young couple who return home to Alabama in search of a simpler life by eating the way their grandparents did - locally and seasonally. Friday, Sept. 30, doors open 6:30 pm for popcorn & drinks. The film begins at 7:00 pm (1 1/2 hrs) at the NWESD Building, 1601 R Ave., Anacortes. Films are free and open to the public. Donations are welcome to help continue this series in 2017. Future films: Oct. 14 - "Salmon Confidential"; Oct. 28 - Double Feature, "A Simple Question" & "The Story of Straw and Nature's Orchestra": Nov. 11 - "Sonic Sea".
