BreakThrough is a comprehensive psychological program with a dual focus on weight loss and wellness. BreakThrough is designed to help break through cycles of unhealthy or emotional eating behaviors and address the underlying reasons why many of us struggle with our weight. On average, BreakThrough! participants lose an average of 22 pounds during the 12-week program.
The BreakThrough! psychological approach humorously and accurately explores why we eat what we do and what we can do to change! That said, BreakThrough is not another diet or exercise program.
BreakThrough integrates proven (evidence-based) psychological practices and the latest research to help us recognize, challenge and resist the moods and behaviors that sabotage healthy weight management. As early as the third session, group members begin to fully appreciate and understand their individual triggers and vulnerabilities. Combined with new skills, this understanding builds resilience which allows the recovery process to begin with great support and resources.
