Recent NE Pacific Warming or : How I learned to Stop Worrying and Love the Blob. - A huge area of abnormally warm water has formed along our nation's Pacific coast. Coined "The Blob" by Dr. Nick Bond, Wa. State Climatologist and Senior Research Scientist, University of Washington, this phenomenon may be affecting our local weather and has been linked to weird weather events across the U.S. and the disruption of marine food webs and ecosystems.
