The true story of 19th century astronomer Henrietta Leavitt. Silent Sky explores a women's place in a society during a time of immense scientific discoveries where a women's ideas were dismissed until men claimed credit for them. Social progress, like scientific progress, can be hard to see when one is trapped among earthly complications. Henritta Leavitt and her female peers believe in both and their dedication changed the way we understand heaven and earth. Written with humor and wit, the play tenderly shows us how these early pioneers broke down the barriers for all women to follow. Directed by theater Manager Billy Hendrix.
